Amie — Founder, Floral Designer
Hi, I’m Amie, the founder and creative behind The Velvet Petals. What began as an idea inspired by my late brother, Tony, has grown into something much more than a floral business—it’s a space rooted in love, creativity, and connection.
We shared a love for bold expression, pop culture, and pieces that felt unique and full of personality. The Velvet Petals is my way of honoring that spirit—blending florals with an eclectic, youthful edge while still embracing elegance and romance.
This brand lives in the balance of it all: bold yet soft, modern yet timeless, expressive yet intentional. There are no exclusions here—just creativity in its purest form.
Beyond design, my vision is to create a space where people can come together. Through classes, events, and shared experiences, The Velvet Petals is meant to inspire growth, connection, and community. Everything I create is rooted in love, legacy, and evolution. I’m always learning, always shifting, always pushing the vision forward—and I want this brand to grow alongside the people it serves.
The Velvet Petals isn’t just about flowers. It’s about expression, remembrance, and creating something meaningful—together.

"Flowers are not supposed to last. Their job is to help us to stay in the present. Okay? They grow, they blossom, they thrive, and then they are gone. You have to stop and just be in the moment. Otherwise, you blink, and what's gonna happen? They're gone."
